The most famous peak in the Ladakh region. And it’s often climbed as an initial non technical foray into high altitude mountaineering. It is also the extreme adventurous itinerary summit in India and a must visit peak for trekking lovers.  

​This is a lovely peak on a long ridge running south from Korzok village on the shores of the Tso Moriri lake. In July and August the entire Korzok valley is green with wild flowers giving the peak its name. Mentok in Tibetan and Ladakhi means flower. In some old maps this peak has been named Mata.

The majestic looking Kang-Yatse is the most prominent peak in the Markha valley. It is a lovely mountain, but not an easy one to climb.
