This rock climbing area is on the main road on the north side of Shey village about 20 minutes outside of Leh. It has a few army routes marked with white numbers painted. The area has lots of potential and it is being slowly developed. This is the best near Leh, Ladakh. The obvious white numbers were painted by the army who from time to time uses it for training. Don't climb directly on top of the Buddhist graffiti. There are some decent top ropes and lots of multi-pitch trad lines. It now has 20 bolted sport routes with more to come.
