1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Wandering Wisdom website and all travel services provided by Wandering Wisdom ("we", "us", "our"), a travel company based in Leh, Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir, India. By accessing our website or booking any service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Booking & Confirmation
A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit (typically 30% of the total trip cost) and a written confirmation from Wandering Wisdom. The balance payment is due 30 days prior to the trip start date. For bookings made within 30 days of departure, the full amount is due at the time of booking.
3. Pricing & Payment
All prices are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change without prior notice until a booking is confirmed. We accept bank transfers, UPI, and major credit/debit cards. International clients may pay via wire transfer; currency conversion charges are borne by the client.
4. Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Cancellation 30+ days before departure: 90% refund of total amount paid.
- Cancellation 15-29 days before departure: 50% refund.
- Cancellation less than 15 days before departure: No refund.
- Transfers to another date within the same season are possible subject to availability and may incur a rebooking fee.
- Fixed-date group trips may be cancelled by Wandering Wisdom if the minimum group size (typically 3 persons) is not met. In such cases, a full refund or alternative date will be offered.
5. Travel Documents & Permits
Travellers are responsible for carrying valid photo identification. Indian nationals require a valid government-issued ID. Foreign nationals require a valid passport and may need an Inner Line Permit (ILP) or Protected Area Permit (PAP) for certain regions of Ladakh. We assist with permit arrangements where included in the package, but the traveller is ultimately responsible for ensuring valid documentation.
6. Health, Fitness & Altitude
Ladakh is a high-altitude destination (3,000-5,500m). Travellers must declare any pre-existing medical conditions at the time of booking. We reserve the right to refuse participation or alter itineraries if a participant's health poses a safety risk to themselves or the group. Adequate travel and medical insurance covering high-altitude trekking and emergency evacuation is strongly recommended.
7. Itinerary Changes
Itineraries are subject to change due to weather, road conditions, natural disasters, government regulations, or other circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to provide alternative arrangements of comparable quality. No refund is due for changes caused by force majeure events.
8. Liability
Wandering Wisdom acts as an organizer and coordinator of travel services. While we take every precaution to ensure safety, we are not liable for injury, illness, death, loss, or damage to personal property arising from participation in our trips, except where caused by our proven negligence. Adventure activities, trekking, and high-altitude travel carry inherent risks that participants accept upon booking.
9. Insurance
We strongly recommend that all travellers purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, medical emergencies, high-altitude trekking, helicopter evacuation, and personal belongings. Proof of insurance may be requested prior to departure.
10. Intellectual Property

11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Leh, Ladakh.
