Snow Leopard Sighting

Snow leopard journeys in Ladakh should be sold honestly. No one can guarantee a sighting, and anyone who does is not speaking carefully enough. A longer winter program from Leh into Zingchen Gorge and the Rumbak side of Hemis National Park still makes sense because time in the field is one of the few honest ways to improve your chances. What we can do is improve your chances through the right season, the right pacing, experienced local trackers, and enough field time to let the landscape reveal something. Even when the cat stays hidden, the wider experience can still be extraordinary: blue sheep on the slopes, argali and other prey species in the broader region, mountain birds, winter silence, dramatic light, and the feeling of being in one of the Himalaya's most elusive habitats.
